摘要: Background: Oral cancer ranks as the seventh most common form of worldwide. Recent reports have examined effect fruit and vegetable intake on risk oral cancer, but results are controversial. Objective: A meta-analysis was performed to arrive at quantitative conclusions about contribution intakes occurrence cancer. Design: comprehensive, systematic bibliographic search medical literature published up September 2005 conducted identify relevant studies. Separate meta-analyses were for consumption. The portion or daily vegetables calculated. multivariate meta-regression analysis explore heterogeneity. This quality score, type cancers included, citrus green consumption, time interval dietary recall studies role consumption in presence publication bias assessed with a funnel plot asymmetry. Results: Sixteen (15 case-control 1 cohort study) met inclusion criteria included meta-analysis. combined adjusted odds ratio (OR) estimates showed that each consumed per day significantly reduced by 49% (OR: 0.51; 95% CI: 0.40, 0.65). For significant reduction overall 50% 0.50; 0.38,0.65). lower associated influenced recall. Conclusion: is
