摘要: The present paper describes recent advances in our knowledge on human sensations as correlated to neural activity specific (thermal) and non-specific (mechanothermal) skin afferents. In this respect, considerable progress has been achieved by technical developments of microelectrodes that allow the percutaneous recording single fiber myelinated unmyelinated afferents from conscious subjects. Psychophysical neurophysiological measurements have performed identify possible correlates static dynamic temperature sensations, heat sensation paradoxical thermal sensations. functional role sensitive mechanoreceptors is discussed. These correlations between events man may be regarded first approximations since, at time, quantitative data are based only small populations primary
