摘要: Objective To evaluate serum free light chains (FLC) as a putative biomarker of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) activity. Methods Seventy-five SLE patients and 41 age- sex-matched rheumatoid arthritis (RA) controls were enrolled. Disease activity was assessed using the Safety Estrogens in Lupus Erythematosus: National Assessment version Systemic Erythematosus Activity Index (SLEDAI) definition physician global assessments for Score 28 joints RA. Serum FLC levels compared against other biomarkers (IgG, C3, C4, double-stranded DNA [dsDNA] antibody). Nonparametric tests used to compare 1) IgG versus RA healthy controls, 2) among different SLE, 3) active nonactive Correlation FLC, dsDNA antibody, with SLEDAI modified (M-SLEDAI) obtained. Results FLC higher than RA; both referent controls. Total significantly subjects greater disease lower/no activity. There no significant differences IgG, or antibody stratified by C3 showed moderate strong correlation M-SLEDAI. In RA, seen Similar results after controlling renal function, age, sex. multiple linear regression, explained 50% variance adjusting sex. Conclusion Serum correlate strongly but not may be
