摘要: Purpose To determine the effectiveness of a light-adjustable intraocular lens (LAL) that can be adjusted postoperatively using ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. Design A prospective, nonrandomized clinical trial was conducted at Center for Vision Science, Ruhr University Eye Clinic, in Bochum, Germany. Participants We included 122 eyes 91 patients with significant cataract. Methods All had visually cataract and were willing to volunteer trial. underwent small-incision phacoemulsification followed by implantation LAL treated spatially profiled UV light delivered digital delivery device induce targeted spherical cylindrical refractive change postoperatively. Once desired correction achieved, again lock power. Distance visual acuity manifest refraction determined follow-up time achieved corrections their stability. Main Outcome Measures measured uncorrected best corrected versus outcome stability 18 months. Results Residual postoperative errors 0.96 ± 0.85 diopters (D) sphere −0.98 0.50 D cylinder stable over Final 0.03 0.17 equivalent refraction. Conclusions spherocylindrical up 2.25 −2.75D successfully precision. The technology has potential individually correct precisely. are Financial Disclosure(s) authors have no proprietary or commercial interest any materials discussed this article.
