Gravimetric Vegetation Water Content Estimation for Corn Using L-Band Bi-Angular, Dual-Polarized Brightness Temperatures and Leaf Area Index

摘要: In this study, an algorithm to retrieve the gravimetric vegetation water content (GVWC, %) of corn was developed. First, method for obtaining optical depth from L-band (1.4 GHz) bi-angular, dual-polarized brightness temperatures (TB) short investigated. Then, quantitative relationship between depth, GVWC and leaf area index (LAI) constructed. Finally, using Polarimetric Microwave Radiometer (PLMR) airborne data in 2012 Heihe Watershed Allied Telemetry Experimental Research (HiWATER) project, Global Land Surface Satellite (GLASS) LAI product, height areal density stalks, estimated (corn GLASS-GVWC). Both situ measured retrieved based on LAINET-GVWC) were used validate accuracy GLASS-GVWC. The results show that retrieval proposed study is feasible monitoring GVWC.
