摘要: Moisture content of ten fine fuels frequent in the forests CentralPortugal and other Mediterranean areas was measured daily since 1986. Average monthly results are presented for period 1987-1990. Pinuspinaster sticks were used as a predictor dead fuel moisture content. A reasonable correlation obtained with Pinus pinaster needles Eucalyptus globulus leaves. Two options MOISTURE module BEHAVE system also tested to predict minimum value Predicted values always lower than direct measurements, specially when only meteorological data used. better agreement known previous day introduced. Using statistical oily fire occurrence some districts around site where tests made, same time, probability occurrence, average number fires area burned each year analysed function pine Three distinct zones, adjacent test showed very similar behaviour.
