摘要: When sodium dodecyl sulfate-stabilized emulsions of n-eicosane are supercooled from about 40 °C, solidification the droplets occurs below 24 °C; reheating suspension causes particles to melt at normal melting point 36-37 and emulsion returns its initial state without any aggregation or coalescence observed. The crystallization changes density volume fraction suspension. this is properly considered, dynamic mobility spectra obtained electroacoustic measurements can be readily interpreted in terms particle size ζ potential with very low fit errors. droplet appears, however, significantly different salt concentrations. This anomalous result an indication stagnant layer conduction on drops. effect also taken into account, becomes independent concentration. results then become entirely self-consistent indicate that theory, which used describe mobility, appropriately describes for both solid surfactant-stabilized oil droplets.
