摘要: [1] Accurate characterization of ionospheric parameters such as total electron content (TEC) and scintillation (signal fluctuation due to irregularities) is critical all users GPS, whether the ultimate goal measurement in navigation, geodesy, ionospheric, or atmospheric studies. Improved absolute TEC accuracy demanded by many global schemes, where small errors can be magnified 3-D tomographic profile reconstructions. We present research showing that there are three errors, biases typically result from characterizing with GPS receiver data. These (1) estimation, instead differential code bias (DCB); (2) divergence pseudorange-code-derived resulting smoothing; (3) delay pseudorange a smoothing. results data collected mitigates these demonstrate utility improved accuracy, particularly for ingestion into reconstructions, but also conversion slant vertical TEC.
