摘要: The effects of housing and nutrition on the performance growing gilts Nepalese Pakhribas breed were investigated. A total 36 pigs allocated according to a factorial design with 3 levels nutrition, provided achieve target growth rate 200, 300 or 400 g/day, two types housing, traditional improved. body composition monitored during period subsequent pregnancy. There was significantly higher (p<0.01), greater P2 backfat thickness eye muscle depth (p<0.01) at service in given level nutrition. Similarly, there (p<0.05), (p<0.10) improved but no significant difference thickness. conception 90% first service, between treatments. Gilts from high plane rearing produced mean litter size one piglet than those low plane, this not limited numbers. However, both reduced climatic penalty by improving resulted increased birthweight piglets (p<0.05). It is concluded that improvement can give benefits equivalent least 7% efficiency feed use under circumstances for pig rearing. (Asian-Aust. J. Anim. Sci. 2002. Vol 15, No. 1 : 72- 78)
