Flunarizine treatment in dizzy patients with vestibular hyperreactivity and hyperventilation.

摘要: Flunarizine (10 mg/day) was given in an open pilot study to 14 patients with the primary complaint of dizziness, who showed vestibular hyperreactivity velocity step (VS) test and were proven have a hyperventilation syndrome (HVS) without any other disease. The VS repeated after 4–6 weeks treatment. Twelve these HVS reported alleviation dizziness. Objective evaluation results treatment attempted by defining suitable response parameters comparing their values those obtained control group healthy volunteers tested twice same interval. A significant decrease right-left asymmetry responses on drug found.
