摘要: The expression of platelet-derived growth factor- beta (PDGF-beta) receptors in the microvasculature human healing wounds and colorectal adenocarcinoma was investigated. Frozen sections were subjected to double immunofluorescence staining using monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) specific for pericytes (MAb 225.28 recognizing high-molecular weight-melanoma-associated antigen, expressed by activated during angiogenesis), endothelial cells PAL-E), laminin, as well PDGF-beta PDGFR-B2) its ligand PDGF-B chain PDGF 007). Stained analyzed computer-aided imaging processing that allowed a numerical quantification degree colocalization investigated antigens. An apparent background colocalization, varying between 23 35%, markers not expected co-localize recorded. This could be due limitations camera resolution, out-of-focus fluorescence, interdigitations structures. In all six tumor specimens, co-localization PAL-E different from co-localization, whereas antigen significantly higher with mean values 57 71%. Qualitatively, same pattern obtained two wounds. did either or but chain-expressing were, however, frequently found juxtaposed microvasculature. on microvessels presence close proximity is compatible role physiology these conditions.
