摘要: The significance of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B membrane proteins as vaccine candidates is continually growing. Here, we studied different aspects antigen NMB0088, a protein that abundant in outer-membrane vesicle preparations and thought to be surface protein. gene encoding NMB0088 was sequenced panel 34 meningococcal strains with clinical epidemiological relevance. After this analysis, four variants were identified; the variability confined three specific segments, designated VR1, VR2 VR3. Secondary structure predictions, refined alignment analysis homology modelling using FadL Escherichia coli, revealed almost all variable regions located extracellular loop domains. In addition, expressed E. coli procedure for obtaining purified recombinant described. humoral immune response elicited BALB/c mice measured by ELISA Western blotting, while functional activity these antibodies determined serum bactericidal assay an animal protection model. immunization mice, capable inducing protective when it administered inserted into liposomes. According our results, may represent novel against disease. However, results from study should considered designing cross-protective formulation future studies.
