摘要: The use of biodynamic models to understand metal uptake directly from sediments by deposit-feeding organisms still represents a special challenge. In this study, accumulated concentrations Cd, Zn and Ag predicted modelling in the lugworm Arenicola marina have been compared measured field populations several UK estuaries. model Cd remarkably accurately, bioaccumulated were range those lugworms collected field. For showed less but good comparability, accurately predicting bioaccumulation A. at high sediment underestimating worms sites with low intermediate levels contamination. Therefore, it appears that physiological parameters experimentally derived for are applicable conditions encountered these environments assumptions made plausible.
