Wettability characteristics of an Al2O3/SiO2-based ceramic modified with CO2, Nd:YAG, excimer and high-power diode lasers

摘要: The interaction of CO2, Nd:YAG, excimer and high-power diode laser (HPDL) radiation with the surface an Al2O3/SiO2 based ceramic was found to effect significant changes in wettability characteristics material. It observed that Nd:YAG HPDL reduced enamel contact angle from 118° 31°, 34° 33° respectively. In contrast, resulted increase 121°. Such were identified as being due (i) melting partial vitrification Al2O3/SiO2-based a result radiation; (ii) roughness increasing after (iii) oxygen content radiation. work has shown could be controlled and/or modified by treatment, particular, whether had propensity cause melting. However, wavelength dependence change wetting properties not deduced findings this work.
