摘要: Abstract In times of climate change, biodiversity loss, or growing natural resource scarcity, the circular business model (CBM) concept is increasingly attractive, promoting reorganization current value creation architectures and supply chains toward a sustainable system production consumption. Driven by vision continued economic expansion growth on planet with finite resources, CBMs are endorsed political institutions, multinational corporations, consultancies, academia. Some argue that CBM configurations contribute to more holistic radical change in existing logics than approaches achieve incremental efficiency improvements. However, how “holistic” “radical” theoretically constituted academia if we consider deep structural paradigmatic shifts societies necessary deal challenges associated Anthropocene? Prior studies do not examine inherent normative settings operational beneath concepts. To reconstruct theoretical foundations critically, recent body academic literature systematically reviewed according (1) legitimacy (why should it be done) (2) modes offerings (what done), (3) core principles integration into daily (how done). From this synthesis, predominant notion sustainability behind can revealed. This study argues contemporary scientifically constructed need reconsidered they intended profound transition sustainability. Hence, paper shows from “holistic”, “radical”, pluralistic widen future research help diversify concept.
