摘要: In an attempt to meet the public's needs for information on air quality a variety of indexes have been developed and they continue evolve. To show complexity diversity such indices, current indices are described here compared in regard their performance ability deliver information. A number characteristics seem desirable index: consistency, simplicity, versatility flexibility. terms ongoing development, AQI also be useful forecasting, method calculation sufficiently flexible allow pollutants added or subtracted as changes health impact revealed. However, much progress is still made, mainly through more careful consideration combined multiple pollutants, low level exposure, with timely transfer usable public.
