摘要: Winging of the scapula occurring in muscular disorders (muscular dystrophy and spinal atrophy) or nerve injury has been investigated, resulting a thorough understanding presentation underlying biomechanics causing this occurrence. This includes biomechanical explanation characteristic prominence medial border upon attempted elevation, together with reasons for rotation direction contrary to normal scapulohumeral rhythm. Based on these findings, non-invasive alternative surgical technique scapular stabilization devised, using an inflatable orthosis, placed between external restraint (such as jacket). The device tested one subject 3SPACE Isotrak electromagnetic source sensor system, gave encouraging results. Elevation increased by up 35 degrees (37 per cent), functional improvement use hand around head face achieved. needs no aftercare physiotherapy is therefore both economical functionally effective.
