摘要: Accurate well placement in oil and gas exploration production (E&P) requires accurate positioning of interpreted geological structure the depth domain. In past decade, with advancement sensor computer hardware technology, seismic industry has made great improvements data acquisition designs as imaging model building algorithms. However, cost/benefit justification for value information (VOI) obtained by utilization these technologies remains mainly to be qualitative. This paper discusses how uncertainty analysis can lead quantifying VOI technical risks associated E&P projects.
