摘要: The cochlear nucleus (CN) is an essential synaptic intermediary in the ascending auditory pathway and site of remarkable neuronal specializations that allow this to represent most behaviorally relevant information available sounds (Cant 1992; Rhode Greenberg Romand Avan 1997; Ryugo Parks 2003). Because powerful influence developing ear exerts on central nervous system (CNS) (Rubel 1978; Friauf Lohmann 1999; Rubel Fritzsch 2002), considerable research has been directed at understanding basic events normal development effects early deafness. large literature structural functional CN reviewed a previous volume series 1998; Sanes Walsh 1998), various aspects abnormal are discussed other chapters book (Friauf, Chapter 3 Moore King, 4).
