摘要: Abstract Introduction The purpose of the study was to investigate impact high-fidelity human simulation on nursing student anxiety prior attending clinical and interacting with a mentally ill patient. Method This quantitative, nonrandomized, quasi-experimental implemented three groups undergraduate students who were enrolled in psychiatric course. The students participated 2-hour lecture therapeutic communication techniques, followed by experience depicting depressed patient or an anxious alcohol withdrawal. A sample 44 completing demographic questionnaire, pre- postanxiety visual analogue scale, post–State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Simulation Evaluation Survey. Data collected during two semesters 2010. Results findings support use aid decreasing students' communicating patients experiencing mental illness.
