摘要: A fast path (comprising control and data busses) directly connects between a storage element in hierarchy requestor. The (FP) is parallel with the bus normally provided through requestor controller. may bypass intermediate levels hierarchy. used at least for fetch requests from requestor, since have been found to comprise majority of all access requests. System efficiency significantly increased by using one system decrease peak loads on normal path. makes each request simultaneously controller (SCE). gets before same SCE, but be ignored if it busy. If accepted, can start its accessing controls sooner request, than received Every must use SCE controlled cross-interrogate (XI) protect (SP) resources. Fast operation requires unique coordination among XI SP controls, priority controls. When accessed ready sent element, faster bus. transfer
