摘要: Bluetongue virus grown in BHK cells was shown to be inactivated concentrations of betapropiolactone (BPL) higher than 0-15 per cent. When the virus, with 0-2 cent BPL and prepared as a double emulsion vaccine, injected into Cypriot sheep, no untoward reactions were observed neutralising antibodies developed. The antibody titre reached high level persisted for at least year. After re-vaccination, secondary response observed. A bivalent vaccine elicited both types incorporated. possibilities using polyvalent are discussed.
