摘要: Intramedullary nailing has become a popular and effective procedure for the treatment of most fractures tibial diaphysis. However, distal interlocking screw placement under fluoroscopic control is responsible majority radiation exposure significant loss surgical time in entire procedure. To limit fluoroscopy use, during placement, Orthofix® developed targeting device which compensates inevitable deformation nail sagittal plane its insertion. This prospective clinical study evaluates efficacy this locking. One hundred fifteen fresh same number patients with mean age 37.5 years (17–85 years) were treated operative stabilization using Orthofix system. The duration operation was 38 min (20–55 min). A four intra-operative plain X-rays (2–6 X-rays) used 103 cases to confirm guide wire final insertion accuracy screws placement. use image intensifier utilized remaining 12 5 s (3–8 s). failed (5.2%) locking screws. demonstrates that can be performed easily successfully minimal radiation, once surgeon develops reasonable experience device.
