摘要: Abstract Many forensic problems using GLC are similar to those of workers in other fields whose material is biological origin. This paper concerned with some the encountered analysis alkaloids by GLC. Because polar compounds, column used must display minimum adsorption. A method described whereby adsorption compounds diatomaceous earth reduced. It suggested that this superior (especially at temperatures from 250° 340°) methods employing conventional “silanising” procedures. For identification purposes, on-column derivative formation described. Reagents for purpose acid anhydrides, ketones and aldehydes. Reactive characterised alteration retention time consequent upon derivative. Reference made ion-pairs certain danger these not being extracted dilute aqueous acids ( e.g. HCl) organic solvents CHCl 3 ). When columns prepared as paper, they can be successfully analyse sub-microgram quantities a large number ranging mol.wt. amphetamine brucine including such “difficult” morphine.
