摘要: This study compared a panel of 10 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) for the serodiagnosis Mediterranean visceral leishmaniasis (MVL). The ELISAs were based on either one following Leishmania antigens: crude soluble antigens (SLAs), recombinant (r) (namely: rgp63, rK39, gene B protein, r H2A and H2B histones proteins, rLACK, rPSA-2, P20) purified lipophosphoglycan. Most test showed good performance (sensitivity > 85%, specificity 80%). rK39 SLA-based ELISA gave best results in terms sensitivity (100%) predictive value negative (100%). (97%) positive (92%) obtained with rK39. These show that several are suitable to design diagnostic MVL. However, proteins add little classic SLA, which still represents very less costly alternative.
