摘要: The cytotoxic activity of some the most pathogenic strains Vibrio cholerae is associated with a cytolysin protein (VCC), which forms oligomeric transmembrane pores and changes permeability intestinal cells. We present here model structure pore VCC based on sequence comparison other pore-forming toxins. suggested to form β-barrel relatively large trans vestibule region. Calculations electrostatic profile within lumen provide rationale for low conductance selectivity ion channel.
