摘要: Abstract Pitting corrosion on stainless steel has been widely studied during the last decades, but since it is a stochastic process, remains difficult to analyze experimentally such phenomenon. In this work, reproducible single pits were performed 316L by using an experimental setup based use of glass microcapillary locally supply chloride ions surface in order characterize pit propagation. This original approach allowed obtaining new results about Indeed, was possible control presence metallic cap covering adjusting parameters (potential – sulfate ratio temperature). The cover shown be important issue concerning propagation mechanism. It also study evolution both depth and diameter as function various parameters. Then, simulation current densities at bottom aperture, special attention paid for investigation local
