摘要: Since very recently an extensive review of the results electrophysiological experiments in pineal gland rodents and birds has been published(Semm, 1981), this article I will focus on four important neurobiological aspects guinea-pigs, rats homing pigeons: 1. circadian rhythmicity, as shown by long-term recordings use microelectrophoresis, 2. morphological studies central innervation 3. transmitter-like activity melatonin its precursors other brain areas 4. a major point investigations magnetic sensitivity pineal, including single unit recordings, biochemical measurements synthesis during following earth-strength stimulation metabolic mapping areas, which are sensitive for stimuli range natural field. The latter may be special interest researchers most exhibiting sensitivity, (14C)2-deoxyglucose-method, also contain or synthesize N-acetylalkylamines respectively.
