摘要: Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is an Ayurvedic herb commonly used in world-renowned traditional Indian home medicine system. Roots of have been traditionally known to possess a variety therapeutic and health promoting potentials that not sufficiently supported by laboratory studies. Nevertheless, most, if all, the preventive assigned its bioactive components, steroidal alkaloids lactones. In contrast use roots, we exploring bioactivities leaves Ashwagandha. Here, report higher content active Withanolides, Withaferin-A (Wi-A) Withanone (Wi-N), as compared roots. We also established, for first time, hydroponic cultivation investigated effect various conditions on Wi-A Wi-N chemical analysis bioassays. Withanone/Withaferin A-rich could be obtained manipulating light condition during cultivation. Furthermore, recruited cyclodextrins prepare extracts with desired ratio Wi-A. Hydroponically grown high withanolides are valuable cancer treatment.
