摘要: The authors explore the consequences of consumer-resource interactions for bioaccumulation in two aquatic systems (cadmium accumulation Dreissena polymorpha and polychlorinated biphenyl calanoid copepods). They explicitly link feeding growth rates consumers to abundance resources under a variety assumptions about nature between them. models are parameterized using field laboratory data, predictions quantitatively compared with field-measured distributions tissue concentrations. Different result different predicted concentrations illustrate way these constrain contaminants. Linking resource abundances will be important whenever change over time. User-friendly software make ideas accessible nontheoreticians.
