Effect of yoga exercises on the body composition of fasting females

摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect one-month fasting along with yoga training on body composition novice female athletes. Twenty trained women were randomly assigned experimental (n=10) and control groups. group participated in classes for 4 weeks, two 60-min sessions per week; did not participate any regular exercise programs. This conducted groups month Ramadan, 2012. variables including fat percentage, mass index (BMI), waist circumference waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) measured three stages: a week before fifteenth day after Ramadan. results showed that BMI decreased; however changes significant. Also, subcutaneous significant reduction both groups, though more group; also, significantly changed group. As results, exercises can help overweight people experience ideal weight loss; also athletes who stop exercising be used as an alternative maintain their weight.
