摘要: This paper deals with the development of a numerical model, based on Finite Element Method (FEM), for simulation Low Velocity Impact (LVI) phenomena short Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymers (GFRP) plates two different impact energy levels. In order to assess reliability proposed FE results have been compared experimental ones achieved by tests campaign carried out within such research activity; performed according ASTM D7136 requirement. The overall contact force response in simulations match well measurements terms both slope and peak.
