摘要: Abstract Alloys in the series CeRu2Si2 − xGex have been studied by inelastic neutron scattering. The high temperature quasielastic response is consistent with a smooth decrease 4f-conduction electron hybridisation increasing x. linewidths are strongly modulated wavevector Q, indicating presence of strong RKKY interactions. single ion component dynamical shows scaling x and T good agreement standard Kondo theory. In ordered state, for ≈ 1, longitudinal spin fluctuations characterised an peak. strength this decreases x, as exchange field wins over screening. cross-sections well described simple ansatz which screened state 4f electrons represented pair singlets separated energy order kBTK.
