摘要: Background. In adults, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and bipolar (BD) have certain overlap- ping symptoms, which can lead to uncertainty regarding the boundaries of two disorders. Despite evidence cog- nitive impairments in both disorders separately, such as attentional inhibitory processes, data on direct comparisons across ADHD BD cognitive–neurophysiological measures are yet limited. Method. We directly compared cognitive performance event-related potential from a cued continuous test 20 women with ADHD, (currently euthymic) control women. Results. The NoGo-N2 was attenuated BD, reflecting reduced conflict monitoring, controls (both p < 0.05). Both groups showed NoGo-P3, control, addition, contingent negative variation significantly group (p = 0.05), trend 0.07), controls. Conclusions. These findings indicate disorder-specific (conflict monitoring) overlapping (inhibitory con- trol, potentially response preparation) neurophysiological BD. identified parameters further our understanding candidate biomarkers that may aid identification diagnostic
