摘要: The effects of acute ethanol intoxication on drug metabolism were studied in man and rats. Ethanol ingestion significantly retarded the disappearance pentobarbital meprobamate from blood human volunteer subjects This was not due to altered compartmentalization, since total body rats also delayed. In vitro, inhibited by rat liver slices, which indicates a direct effect hepatic metabolism. shown involve inhibition microsomal drug-metabolizing enzymes ethanol, competitive or partially competitive. addition decreased activity cytochrome P450 reductase, rate limiting step electron transport chain detoxification. demonstrated this study may be binding microsomes its oxidation at site.
