摘要: Arthropods are a diverse and ancient group of invertebrate animals, which constitute approximately 75-85% all known species on earth. Many arthropod species, such as spiders, scorpions even some crustaceans, contain venoms that can be very complex, representing natural combinatorial libraries bioactive compounds. Characterization the compounds in these has helped development tools for pharmacology, discovery lead molecules therapeutic treatments. A critical aspect characterization venom is determination three-dimensional structure. Structural analysis provide insight into many processes including understanding target interactions developing more potent selective drug leads. Arthropod an extremely rich source novel structures this review provides overview structural diversity, proteins, peptides small molecules.
