摘要: Objective. Existing research establishes that political trust is not only an important determinant of individual behavior and government effectiveness, but may also measure the health civic society. This article looks specifically at among Latinos Mexican descent, demonstrating acculturation corrosive trust. Methods. Logit ordered logit models are used to simultaneously test two theories acculturation—classic assimilation theory ethnic competition theory. Data come from Latino National Political Survey (LNPS). Results. Support found for both modes acculturation. Conclusions. Although results do conclusively side with one particular mode acculturation, they consistently show trust. descent become more cynical about American as incorporate into or exposed mainstream culture, aware concerned racism discrimination.
