摘要: The number densities for N2, O2, O, and Ar in the 115–155 km range were measured by means of a monopole spectrometer flown aboard Black Brant 3 rocket launched at Churchill Research Range on December 12, 1966, 1320 CST. N2 density 150-km altitude was found to be higher factor 1.3 than average mass spectrometric determinations performed temperate latitudes during years 1966 1967. A low content High He (the latter filter same rocket) both point toward an turbopause below 100 km. Unexpected high O2 ion source could only explained considerable degree recombination O walls. Similar ESRO CO7 flight, but less pronounced, wave-like structure superimposed profiles all constituents. Neutral gas temperatures did not significantly deviate from CIRA 1965 values.
