摘要: A gas beam consisting of a mixture atomic and molecular oxygen has been directed at the ion source mass spectrometer like those used in sounding rockets for determining neutral composition lower thermosphere. The loss on surfaces was evaluated by flagging several ways comparing experimental results with predicted values. obtained suggest that rocket flights using similar instruments densities computed assuming no-loss conditions may be low factor 2.5. Studies made containing tracer O-18 indicate carbon dioxide observed when enters is formed reaction involving from monoxide bombarded.
