摘要: Abstract Background Angiogenesis is a fundamental process for brain development and repair. Thrombospondin-1 the first identified endogenous angiogenesis inhibitor. Its expression in rat upregulated after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We determined whether plasma thrombospondin-1 concentrations are associated with injury severity prognosis ICH patients. Methods This observational, prospective study recruited 110 patients age- gender-matched healthy controls. Blood samples were collected from at admission controls entry to measure concentrations. The endpoints included 1-week mortality, 6-month overall survival unfavorable outcome (modified Rankin Scale score > 2). Results Plasma markedly higher than was an independent predictive factor all highly reflected by hematoma volume National Institutes of Health Stroke score. Under receiver operating characteristic curves, had similar values compared Conclusions Increased following independently short-term long-term clinical outcomes.
