摘要: Sustained dysregulation of blood glucose (hyper or hypoglycemia) associated with type 1 diabetes (T1D) has been linked to cognitive deficits and altered brain anatomy connectivity. However, a significant gap remains respect how T1D affects spontaneous at-rest connectivity in young developing brains. Here, using large multi-site study, resting state functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (rsfMRI) data were examined children (N=57, mean age=7.88 years; 27F) as compared age-matched non-diabetic controls (N=26, age=7.43 14F). Using both model-driven seed-based analysis model-free independent component (ICA) controlling for age, site sex, converging results obtained suggesting increased controls. Further, was observed be positively functioning. The positive association functioning T1D, without overall group differences function, suggests putative compensatory role hyper-intrinsic the this condition. Altogether, our study attempts fill critical knowledge regarding dysglycemia might affect brain’s intrinsic at very ages.
