摘要: The major complication of thyroid surgery, occurring in 1% to 6% cases, is injury the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN). A simple method identify RLN during surgery described by authors. It consists palpation caudally inferior pole thyroid, after has been made taut upward and medial traction gland. This was used on 47 human cadavers 45 patients with benign diseases. it possible all 52 55 identifications thyroidectomies (in 10 total identification bilateral). Laryngeal motility normal at postoperative laryngoscopy. Using before dissection region artery, traditional viewing became easier safer, reducing risk where most likely occur nerve.
