摘要: Objectives: To study self-reported coping style by the COPE questionnaire and association to tumour node distant metastasis (TNM) stage, received treatment health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in a population successfully treated head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients. Design: Disease free HNSCC patients were interviewed during regular outpatient visit Department. Setting: All <80 years who had been diagnosed with HNSCC, Western Norway, period from 1992 1997 disease year 2000 included. Main outcome measures: The studied European organization for research cancer (QoL) which styles profiles extracted. Clinical socio-demographic variables also gathered. Results: Level problem focused was associated T stage whether or not patient given radiotherapy. An avoidance-focused generally lowered HRQoL. Employment emotional low HRQoL among surgery only, increased radiation therapy only. associations between levels stronger indexes reflecting cognitive/emotional function than physical function. Conclusions: In former patients, level if avoidance inversely HRQoL, complex manner.
