摘要: The principal helminths present in adult medical patients at Goroka Base Hospital were hookworm, probably Necator americanus, (in 83%), Ascaris lumbricoides 14%) and Trichuris trichiura 16%). Enterobius vermicularis was also 1.6%), Hymenolepis nana a single patient. Females infected more frequently with than males they had higher egg counts of both males, the difference statistically significant. Haemoglobin values significantly negatively correlated hookworm females. Eosinophil not either or females, but relatively eosinophilia high when compared normal males. Patients asthma lower other patients.
