摘要: Shotgun proteomics has become the method of choice for identifying proteins in biological samples. This strategy relies on digesting into peptides and sequencing them by using tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). Peptides which product-ion spectra are captured then identified a database search engine. Resulting peptide identifications filtered to retain most reliable candidates. To complete this process, list protein is inferred from identifications. In chapter, we introduce basic concepts usingMS/MS.Weprovide detailed picture automated identification MyriMatch Finally, present process filtering inference IDPicker software.
