摘要: Tendon injuries occur frequently in physically active individuals, but the clinical outcomes for these can be poor. In many injured tissues repair process is orchestrated by two types of cells, macrophages and fibroblasts. Macrophages, which have both proinflammatory (M1) antiinflammatory (M2) phenotypes, directly participate tissue remodeling direct response other cells through secretion cytokines growth factors. organ systems, epithelial transdifferentiate into fibroblasts, then regenerate damaged ECM. This triggered via activation epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) signaling programs. Most tendons are surrounded sheets layers could provide a source fibroblasts to tendons. To gain greater insight biology tendon repair, we performed tenotomy Achilles adult rats determined changes macrophage phenotype, ECM- EMT-related genes over four week time course. The results from this study suggest that phenotype programs likely contribute degradation subsequent tissue.
