摘要: Osteocalcin is a skeletal member of the family extracellular mineral binding Gla protein. synthesized only by osteoblast and it secreted into bone matrix at time mineralization. The properties osteocalcin as well its spatial temporal pattern expression suggest that plays role during mineralization, however until now biological function unclear. To understand skeletogenesis we mutated two genes homologous recombination in embryonic stem (ES) cells. Eight targeted clones were identified Southern analysis using external probes. One these contributed to germ line mouse chimera. Interbreeding heterozygotes currently progress. Mutant mice will be useful vivo.
