摘要: Abstract The relationship between the various components of late decelerations fetal heart rate (type II dips) and pH, P o 2, hemoglobin saturation with oxygen arterial blood was investigated in 15 anesthetized near-term rhesus monkeys. These fetuses were asphyxiated by markedly lowering pressure distal third maternal aorta. Strong uterine contractions occurred spontaneously all animals. Correlational studies demonstrated that: (1) latency period (time from onset contraction to deceleration), (2) development, (3) magnitude three good predictors oxygenation (the 2 per cent blood). correlations these variables further improved when durations also taken into consideration. Although values deceleration accurately reflected state oxygenation, they bore no relation pH. In presence normal contractions, never association oxygenation. When did appear duration, development marked impairments every instance.
