摘要: Purpose This paper aims to identify the key competencies managerial coaches have and examine significant that affect coaching effectiveness in Malaysian telecommunications industry. Design/methodology/approach The unit of analysis was individual who were working industry. Among 300 questionnaires distributed, a total 140 obtained deemed sufficiently complete be useable. Descriptive multiple regression analyses used analyze data. Findings The results indicated leadership development is most important function coaching, followed by communication. In addition, co-creating relationship effective communication are critical categories for coaching. Analysis from highlighted influencing factor on effectiveness, facilitating learning, results. The findings also shown all core setting foundation factors. Research limitations/implications Analyses relied cross-sectional data limits generalizability other industries. utilization self-reported perceptual may suffer response bias. Practical implications This highlights personal or professional characteristics might development. It provides list criteria developing assist build world class workforce. Originality/value Using International Coach Foundation competency model, this study an insight develop select managers effectively which ultimately lead performance improvement organization.
