摘要: Cognitive neuroscience has provided strong support for the idea that there are multiple memory systems. Recent evidence suggests remembering and knowing may be two types of recognition with different neural substrates. The remember/know distinction is not equivalent to explicit/implicit because both impaired after damage medial temporal lobe structures. A number converging lines suggest relationship between one redundancy, “knowing” processes also active during remembering. Remembering appears depend additionally on frontal functioning.
